I'm Loic Gasser. I started Maxeo after 15+ years of building software and running engineering teams. I've been a startup co-founder, a CTO, a Director of Engineering. Now I help companies ship the stuff that matters.
I write production code. Architecture reviews, system design, hands-on implementation alongside your team. Web apps, AI integration, geospatial platforms. I've done all of these in real projects, not just on paper. EPFL-trained, worked in both the US and Switzerland, and I still push commits every day.
Right now I'm serving as Principal Engineer for a US-based SaaS company, where I led a full platform rewrite — replacing a fragile legacy system with a modern, stable architecture that now ships features at a much faster pace.

How I work

Cloud & Infrastructure
AWS is my default. Containers, CI/CD, monitoring, the whole stack. Everything defined in Terraform because clicking around in the AWS console doesn't scale. I optimize for reliability first, cost second.
Project Leadership
I can embed in your team or run a workstream on my own. Either way, you get clear communication and realistic timelines. I've led enough engineering orgs to know that surprises kill projects.
